Sisley Creme Reparatrice Sample + I'm looking for a good Moisturizer!!

With the flight and the change of clima my skin broke out again!! I have a really sensitive skin so the slightest change can affect my skin immediately.

Sisley Creme Reparatrice Sample

Last year before Christmas I had a skin check-up at the Sisley corner and the lady told me that my skin is breaking out because it's too dry. Read more here.
The lady gave me some samples to try and I finally decided to try them out.

About the cream

The cream that she gave me is called the Cream Repair with Shea Butter. It is a cream that you can use for mornings and nights. Apparently it's for all skin types, but I have my doubts about it being actually good for oily skin. It's a moisturizer and it repairs damaged skin.

I've been using this for 2 days now and I haven't seen any changes, but it does feel as if my skin is more moisturized than before.
The cream has a nice scent to it and it doesn't feel oily at all. After application it creates a layer over my skin to protect the moisture that's inside of my skin.

My personal opinion

There is a lot of product in the sample and it probably will last me for a week, but even thought I'm still not sure if I really am going to purchase it. It would be great if I could get another sample before  buying the whole bottle. For seeing results it takes some time and I don't want to buy it and realise later on that it doesn't work for me. After all Sisley's products are pricy.

Curious ingredients

Just a few days ago I read on a post about ingredients that should be avoided, if you are like me the type that breaks out quickly.
I got curious and checked the ingredientlist from this product.

For my surprise I found some ingredients in this product:

  • Mineral oils: traps the skin and should be the reason for white pumps on skin.
  • Fragrance: It can irritate the skin and cause breakouts.

This is also a reason why I don't want to purchase it right away and first see how my skin reacts to the product. Sisley is pretty much known for they natural ingredients, so I was quite surprised to see that there were ingredients from the list contained in this product.

I need a good moisturizer!!

I finally decided that I will invest a bit more money for a good moisturizer. I always used to buy any random drugstore moisturizer in hope it will make my skin look better.
With all that money that I have wasted in those products I could have bought a good one.
I want to make it right this time and buy one that works for my skin.
Before buying I want to test them. If any of you guys may know a good moisturizer for dry, acne-prone and damaged skin then please leave a comment down below. =)
Thank you so much!!

Bourjois Color Boost Glossy finish Lipstick Review

I discovered these lip crayons the first time I was in Japan.
Until then I didn't make the greatest experiences with lip crayons. I thought the Revlon lip crayons were not moisturizing enough and the Clinique Chuppy Sticks were not pigmented enough.

Product description

These are the lip crayons from Bourjois. Basically a lipstick that comes in a crayon form. There are different shades available. To try them I only got these 2 shades.

The packagings of these lip crayons look basically all the same. They look like a thick crayon, they come with a twister and the color is the shade of the lipstick.

How it works

I personally think it's easier to apply lipstick with this crayons instead of a lipstick. They feel more moisturizing and the colors are really pigmented.
It feels as if they are a mixture between a lipstick and a lipbalm.

How it looks like

Down below you can see how the two shades look when applied.
They have a really nice fresh shiny finish.

#03 Orange Punch
#1 Red Sunrise

Personal opinion

Over all the lip crayons that I have tested I prefer these the most!
They are not only really pigmented but also really moisturizing.
The colors are really pretty and they are long lasting. I'm definitely planning on buying more shades from these lip crayons.

Etude House Dual Show Volume Mascara Review

Back in Tokyo and reunited with my old things!! :D

I usually always used the mascaras from Maybelline. I am a huge fan of their mascaras and they aren't that expensive.

While I was in Japan I started to try out and descover new mascaras.
It never accured me how well this mascara from Etude House actually worked!

Product description

This is a double-sided mascara. On one side it has a big brush for the upper lashes and on the other it has a small brush for the lower lashes.
This mascara is meant to give your lashes more volume.

for upper lashes
for lower lashes

I think it's funny how the packaging has a form of a bullet.
The two sides are divided with a pink holder where the brushes are fixed. The big brush has a size of a pyramid and the small one is slightly slanted.

How it works

As mentioned before this is a double-sided mascara. You use the smaller brush for the lower eyelashes and the thicker brush for the upper lashes.
I was really disappointed in the smaller brush. Short after I purchased the product the brush dried out.
Luckily the big brush still works and actually pretty well.

As the name says this product should give volume to the lashes and it's actually really impressive on how well it works.
Since the big brush has a pyramid size you can also use it for the lower lashes.
To remove the mascara I would recommend you to use an eyemakeup remover since it's really long-lasting.

How it looks like

Before applying the mascara I didn't curl my lashes. Usually I would do this but as you can see from the picture only the mascara alone lifts my lashes up.

without mascara

left side with mascara

with mascara

Personal opinion

I was really disappointed in the small brush. I really excepted more from it.
The big brush is really promising!! It gives a lot of volume and works also perfectly for the lower lashes. It is the only reason why I would repurchase this mascara again.

Empties #2

Since I put myself on a no-buy and decided to clean out my beauty-section, I'm having so many empties!

Vaseline Essential Moisture Clean Feeling Lotion "pure oat extract"

I got this product a few years ago when I was in London. The scent of this product really got my attention. It was a great moisturizing lotion, which kept my skin moisturized during the entire year also during winter.
I will definitely repurchase it, if I come across this product again. Too bad that we don't have Vaseline-products in our county.

Kaloderma indian oil

My mom got me this product 2 years ago when I had really bad acne. Back then I refused to use it, because I didn't believe that oil could actually heal acne.
During these past few years I became wiser and by now I know that there are oils that don't harm the skin.
This product contains 3 different oils that are really good for the skin: almond oil, macadamia oil and rosemary oil.
During the time I used this product I had less breakouts and my skin was very moisturized.
Unfortunately I have no idea where my mom got this product, but if I would come across it again I would definitely buy it.

Maskhouse hydrating korean herbal mask

I'm a huge fan of sheet masks. I apply them once a week.
I used these masks during the time where I had really dry skin. I felt that this mask was very moisturizing. I could leave the mask on my face for almost an hour and it would still be moisturizing.
Now that I think about it... What's on the packaging? Are those snails or any other weird animal? :O .. or should they represent herbs?!? LOL looks kind of funny if yes. xD

NYX Mosaic Powder MPB 06 Rosey

I accidentally dropped this blush right after I bought it. Since then I was using it as my everyday blush.
I think it is my first blush that I ever finished!! xD It lasted me for almost 2 years.
By using it almost daily I came to realise on how beautiful this blush actually was. It has a really nice pinky color, which gave my face a nice fresh look. It was easy to apply it on my cheeks and well blendable. Evn if by accident to much color came on the cheek, there was still the possibility to blend it out.
It's a great blush for those who wants rosey cheeks.

Laneige Multiberry Yogurt Peeling Gel Review

Sensitive skin --> Peelings?!?

Not really a good combination!!

I had many struggles in finding a good peeling and exfoliator for my skin. Usually the peelings with sand grains tend to irritate my skin quickly.

Laneige is a korean cosmetic brand which believes in the power of water. This is the reason why all their products are based on water.
Beside this peeling gel they also offer a Multiberry Yogurt Repair Pack, which is kind of like a mask for people that are in a hurry.

Product description

This peeling contains berry yogurt and it does smell like it!! Sometimes I feel like eating it... xD
It contains raspberries, blueberries, wolfberries, cranberries and strawberries extracts.
This gel has a really thick texture and it doesn't feel oily at all. It's not just a creamy texture, but it also contains some sort of grains. Even those feel really soft on the skin.

The packaging is nothing special. It comes in a tube were you have to squeeze the product out.

It contains 120ml.

What it says

  • nourishing
  • hydrating
  • regenerating

This product is perfect for sensitive skin. It has anti-inflammatory properties. It has a yogurt texture which makes it a really soft exfoliator and gives your skin a smooth finish.

How it works

I use this product 2-3 times per week. I like to apply it while I'm under the shower. This way my pores are open and it's easier for the product to penetrate into my skin.

How to use

Use it on your cleansed face and spread it all over your face avoiding eye area. Massage it for 5-10 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water.

My personal opinion

It feels really moisturizing on the skin and doesn't irritate at all!!
Everytime I use this product my skin feels really soft and has a even texture. It doesn't show you directly any obvious changes. It just makes the skin feel much softer.

Kaloderma Olio Indiano / Indian oil Review

My mom gave me this oil, when I had really bad acne. She told me that those containing oils would be good against acne.
Back then I didn't want to use this product, because I was afraid that it would cause me more acne. I didn't know that there are actually oils, that are good for the skin and doesn't cause any acne.
Recently I've been trying to moisturise my skin more than usual, because it's really dry at the moment.

Product description

It is for me the first time, that I am using a product from this brand. I have never heard about it and I don't believe it's that popular.
This brand goes by the saying of "similar heals similar". Which means this oil removes the eccess oil. Sounds kind of weird: Oil against oil... but this is how it works. =)
It's a purifying oil that consists of 3 different oils.

The oil comes in a glass container which has a pump. As you might already know, I love products with pumps! They are super easy to use and hygenic.
When the bottle is empty, you actually can twist it open and reuse it for something else.

How to apply it

After you cleansed your face with a cleansing foam, take this oil and apply it on a cotton pad. Tap it carefully on your face avoiding your eye area.
Take a second cotton pad and reapply oil on it and this time tap it with more pressure, especially on T-zone and the oily areas on your face.
Do this until you don't have any traces of dirt left on your cotton pad.
At the end rinse your face with water.

left: first used cotton pad; right: non used cotton pad with the oil on it.

How it works

This product is a mix of 3 different oils:

  • Almond oil
    • Originally from India. It's rich on Vitamine A and B. It works for any skin type especially for sensitive skin.

  • Rosemary oil
    •  It has a binding action and it purifies and reduces the production of sebum. It's great against impurities and blackheads.

  • Macadamia oil
    • It tonifies the skin.

This product eliminates blackheads and doesn't affect the balance of sebaceous.
Most of the cleanser remove the skin from oil, that results in damaging the skin even more.

Up: skin before using this treatment; down: skin after using this product

My personal opinion

I used to be really scared of applying oil on my face, because I thought oils would make my skin break out even more. I overcame the fear of oils and started using them, especially when my skin turned to the dry side. I've been loving this oil very much. My skin feels hydrated and clean. I have a more even skin texture and my pores look cleaner to me.
Impressive is how even after cleansing my skin twice with other cleanser, my skin has still dirt left somewhere and it will be revealed with this product.

I'm really sad that I finished this product, because I have no idea where my mom actually got it...
I would recommend to everyone this product who is seeking for a more hydrated and cleaner skin.

Victoria's Secret in Switzerland?!?

Today I spotted VS products in Import Parfumerie!! That really surprised me!! I was checking out the perfumes, when I saw the whole line of body lotions and few body sprays!!! Yey good job Victoria's Secret!! =)

How awesome would it be if they would open a VS store in Zurich! :)
Who knows maybe in the near future!!?

It's very interesting how I'm spotting more and more brands that in the past were not available here in Switzerland.

Victoria's Secret i de Schwiiz!!

Liebi Leserinne

Wer weiss vielleicht in naher Zukunft.
